What's on my Face: Christening Style

Christening makeup is a tricky one. You want to look "done", but not caked in make up. For this look I want extra, EXTRA glowy skin, gold eyes and nude lips. I took inspiration from this gorgeous picture I found on Pinterest (if you're on there, follow me Beautyandlechic)

And this is what I used....

For the base I mixed MAC Mineralize Skinfinish Foundation,  which is very dewy, with a little Benefit High Beam for a very glowy base. For some colour and definition I worked in Bourjois Bronzing Primer with my trusted MAC 130 brush around the outer edges of my face and along the contours of the cheeks. Next I dabbed some more High Beam on the very high points of the cheek bones and to the centre of the forehead  - I said extra glowy, right!

For the eyes I reached for my trusted Urban Decay Naked Palette mixing half baked and smog for a bronzey gold shade. I also mixed some half baked along the lower lash line to add a little sparkle. I traced the top and bottom lash lines with Urban Decay 24/7 liner in Perversion and finished with a quick brush of L'Oreal Million Lashes Excess in black.

Lips, really simple, just a swipe of MAC Creme d'nude. I filled my lashes with the HD Brow Palette and added a little more highlight with the beautiful MAC Skinfinish Powder Soft & Gentle. I was going to go blush-less, but at the last minute I caved and added a dab of Milani Luminoso Blush. Make up fit for the occasion and not too OTT for daylight.
