New nail polish, it's been a while. I made a pact, no more new polishes until I'd caught up on the backlog - a promise worth breaking for these two gems. Barry M Gelly Nail Effects...
Lychee - Nude nails I can normally take or leave, but there's something special about this one. A beige/putty colour doesn't do it justice. It's very chic with a creme yet glossy finish. Opaque, well pigmented and easy to apply. Both polishes tended to be a little on the thick side, just keep shaking the bottle so it doesn't go glupey. Two coats was all I needed.

Passionberry - a wonderfully eye catching orangey red - think tomato soup but better with an ultra glossy, shiny finish. Again it's very opaque and two coats was fine, although three would have been better.
Gel? A lot of polishes claim to be gel-like and this one actually is. The professional glossy finish is very gel like and they're thicker than your average polish. Of course wear time has nothing on an actual gel manicure - I got 3-4 days, but as that price, it's more than I expect. Kudos to Barry for creating a gel like polish for under a fiver!

Love the red, very classic glam! x
ReplyDeleteI love the look of these two colours, these would be the first few shades by Barry M I've got in years, think I may just pick one up next week.

Lyon Notes
I love the look of Barry M Lychee but I'm not sure if I'd ever wear it as I love Essie Sand Tropez.
