Salon Manicure in 1 Simple Step?

It’s a while since a product I received in my Glossybox got its own post, mostly because they’ve been sending a lot of crap lately (sorry, it’s true) but this one’s more than good enough to make the cut.

This is my very first Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure polish. I’ve seen them in Boots but I’ve never been tempted to buy one. They don’t quite have the kudos of, say Essie or OPI, and it’s they’re not renowned for fashion forward shades, but who cares because the quality is fantastic and the results long lasting.
It claims to be 5 Steps in 1 Bottle: Base Coat, Strengtheners, Growth Treatment, Colour and Top Coat. It includes patented Vita-Care Technology for advanced wear, more shine and nourishing care.
I put it to the test on Saturday night as I was literally running out the door. I didn’t have time for my usual file, avolplex cuticle oil, nail envy, base coat, polish and topcoat. Instead I slapped on one coat of the Complete Salon Manicure polish to my brittle, peeling nails and hoped for the best. And guess what, it did exactly what it claimed. Firstly application was super quick and easy. The brush is wide and flat with rounded edges that “cupped” my nails perfectly. It really was 1,2,3,4,5 done, 1,2,3,4,5 done. It’s very opaque and yielded decent coverage from one coat... just as well! I added a second coat the next day for maximum results. The polish dried very quickly and texture reminded me of gel-like polishes – a bit thicker and stronger than the usual. I can honestly say the results were just as good as when I used treatment and base and top coats. Glossybox sent me shade 520 Shrimply Devine. It’s a pumped up milky flamingo pink. There’s no shimmer and it dried to a gel/gloss finish. I’ve been wearing it for four days now and it’s still going strong.

Sorry about the picture quality, it's tough taking decent pics in this constant darkness. Anyway, I would happily purchase another and will be eyeing up the darker shades for winter. Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure polishes retail for £6.99 in Boots but shop around because you’ll normally find them discounted.

  1. I'm jealous, i got it in a kind of off black colour that isn't very nice :( haha

    1. That's a shame. Yes I was surprised and very happy to get a colour I actually liked. Last time glossy sent me a nail polish it was Lime Green!

  2. This color is gorgeous! They were $2 at Walgreens recently but every one I went was empty!

Thank you for your comment, I really appreciate it. I read all of them and reply to any questions x
