OPI Nails...Sparrow me the Drama

I know it’s winter and I’m supposed to be channelling winter nails – think crimsons, metallics and black, BUT don’t you find dark colours make pale hands look even paler? I’m not saying that when  the Christmas parties come around I’ll not be rocking Revlon’s Facets of Fushia, or OPI’s My Private Jet (if Santa brings me it), but for something softer and more flattering I’m still loving the pastels.

Here we have another OPI gem, Sparrow me the Drama. Part of the Pirates of the Caribbean range, I’ve had this a couple of months but such is the state of my nails I’m not getting to sample polishes as quickly as I’d like to. I love, LOVE the colour. It's name is a little misleading - there's nothing dramatic here! It’s a chic pastel, mauve-y, pink. Cool, yet understated. It has a crème finish with a little sheen. If it was a lipstick, it would be MAC’s Creme Cup.

As ever with OPI, the formula is top quality. I did need three coats instead of the usual two, but it lasted nearly a full week and because the shade isn't too bright, a little chipping doesn't really show up. I think it's a universally flattering colour, another great addition to my ever increasing collection.

Buy OPI online in the UK from Look Fantastic and ASOS.

  1. Certainly looks cute on your nails! I've only worn mine once actually as it looks wrong on my skin tone but might give it another chance now I'm un-tanned x
